This installation emulates the Rainwater system in the CIRS Building. More specifically it represents the filtration process where the unsanitary rain water is filtered 3 times, each for different particles. Our fixture visually alerts inhabitants of the building of this process through a mobile. The grey rain drops at the top of the fixture stand for the unsanitary rain water when it is first collected. The half gray, half blue raindrops illustrate the change in state the water goes through during the filtration process. Finally the blue cellophane paper at the bottom is the sanitized water which is fit for use by the building.
