We decided to use the Heyday Aliyev as the building for our project. We picked this centre not only because the architect, Zaha Hadid, was a world renowned architect, but also because this is one of the most unique buildings we have ever researched. In addition, this building also symbolized a bright future as its architecture style displayed a departure from a legacy of normative Soviet Modernism. Our snack, Mochi, represents the airy, smooth, and domed appearance of the interior and exterior of the Heyday Aliyev. Also, we believe our take-out box represents the relationship of the exterior opening to solid walls well, as it is quite abstract, and intertwined.
