Bubbles in the Atrium

The four floor open atrium of the CIRS functions as a gathering space. The open design facilitates airflow. This installation attempts to capture that spirit by blowing bubbles from the first and second floors of the atrium. In warmer weather, it might have been possible to visualize the upward draft, but due to the recent cold spell, that was not seen during the installation. Observers say the bubbles instill a sense of happiness, calmness, and childlike wonder.
